GET TO KNOW Our TEAM!
PASTOR DUSTY ZARICK
Student Ministries Pastor
Dusty Zarick is passionate about three things: Jesus, family, and the local church. He believes the local church should be like a family with one primary goal: to know Jesus and make him known. He married the love of his life, Melony Zarick, in 2011 and they now have two children, Adeline and Jaxon. Dusty was called into ministry as a sophomore in high school and that has been his journey ever since. He has served in full time ministry for over 8 years in a variety of roles from church planting to worship, but has primarilyserved in youth ministry. He believes in students wholeheartedly, and that they are not the church of tomorrow, but the church of today.
Middle School Ministry Director
From Minnesota, born and raised on a vegetable farm, Aaron came to Fort Myers in 2009 to attend the Florida School of Discipleship (formerly Fort Myers Master’s Commission) here at First Assembly. He was fortunate to grow up in a Christian home with a wonderful family of eight. During his time here, Aaron grew in his walk with God and had the opportunity to be trained for the ministry he knew he was called to do. Aaron has his pastoral license in the Assemblies of God and is currently going for his Ministry leadership degree at Lee University. Aaron also had the privilege to meet his wonderful wife, Jesenia, at First Assembly and was married in October of 2012. Aaron and Jesenia now have two boys named River and Canyon. Having been involved in First Assembly’s student ministries since coming to Southwest Florida, he and his wife happily accepted the position as the Middle School Directors in April of 2013. Their heart and passion is to see young people develop a relationship with God, be transformed by the power of the Gospel, and to build them up to be students who live out the mission of Jesus.
Janice has been a part of Youth Church for over 30 years! Janice organizes events and projects as well as oversees budgets for First Youth Church but her real passion is encouraging young people to grow in their relationship with Christ and helping them to find and develop their gifts and use them for ministry. Janice had been married to her husband Ed for 36 years. They have two boys, Eddie (30) who is a fire fighter and Dusty (27), who is also in youth ministry and is married to Melony. And no one brings joy like her grandkids, Adeline and Jaxon.
